produced by matt jam lamont teaming up with chicago legend tyree cooper. the man who brought us from acid house to hip house returns in fine voice, with a groove reminiscent of mike dunn, uplifting beats for those who like to move it.

a fresh addition to the moodmusic roster but a longtime veteran in the house-scene, alexander maier aka dj all*star from stuttgart is well known from his earlier releases on buzzin fly, exun and criminal records. he began his career playing underground techno in south of germany but over the years became more and more influenced by detroit and chicago house. you can hear these influences on sahara in both the rain and river version. deep and reduced grooves with enough soul and atmosphere, yet fully functional for the floor, sahara rain kicks in with a heavy bass sequence building a perfect platform to be followed by the synththeme which hit s the peak hour perfectly. i see some hands going up here already… sahara river starts more housey, building a classy, low-slung huge groove with perculating synths and almost tribal feel to the drums. the modulating synths lifts the track to new heights with a break of superbly layered twisted pads before the drums kick back in in full effect. as this would not be enough we asked our thrusted chicago connection and alexs buddy, mazi aka audio soul project to remix sahara rain. if you consider people who s been in the biz for some time mazi is one of the warriors of the sound, never choosing the easy way but thrustfully following his true way of house music. and house it is, classic but cleverly updated to 2008 with a twist of so-cal thrown in for good measure. bouncey and jacking is the words which comes into mind when hearing this, excellent work and a another bomb for the hot months to come

the flame recordings is proud to announce heimat 35! this is the name of the new ep from the top italian dj and producer andrea fiorito, a lot of experience on stage mixed with a touch of class like few artists untill now. in this work he puted together his passion for swing music from 1920-1940s with a super house groove. the result is something he likes to call swinging cabaret house in the a side. about b1 side andrea fiorito likes to play with some chicago old school techno elements and jazz organs mixed with strong native percussions. b2 imagine to make a trip in america latina, some strong cuban influences together with funk bassline to let you dance when the sun is shining!

without a doubt, chicago native huge hephner has garnered quite the reputation as an international playboy - pimpin and whorin his way into the electronic music worlds stream of consciousness. however, behind the tough guy persona is a highly underrated producer with an unbridled passion for music and love of the analog gear he uses to produce such increasingly in-demand sounds. it is this perversion that lends meaning to the title of his debut album, nymphotech, released on none other than the label that helped launch his career, siteholder records. unflinching in its house vibe, yet relentless in its dance floor attack, nymphotech is a highly impressive debut album by a producer who continues to up his game with each successive release. hephner kicks off part one of a two-part vinyl album sampler with the chugging acid burner sharing the same title as the album. nothing less than 4 a.m. packed club material, to play nympotech at any other time would be a failure to recognize this bombs full potential. jack n coke is undoubtedly huges nod to his hometowns house legacy, showcasing a flirtatious bass line that screams funk in all caps. wheres the acid? fans of hephner might ask. leave that up to freaky $ean da don, featuring the vocal debut of huges body guard and reputed hitman who bears the same name as the tracks title. if nymphotech is any indication of whats to come from mr. hephner, we can only hope huge will manage to stay out of jail long enough to produce a follow-up
